About the Passage
With our main title being Territories and Boundaries, there’s a variety of themes we can choose to branch out in order to build on our individual practice. I’m interested in the topic of where we can and cannot go. Whether it’s a place indoors or outdoors, I find the process of passing through an entrance into another place is an action often overlooked. The spaces we pass through can have subtle restrictions and alter our experience of travelling.
I’ll be exploring the boundaries revolving around entrances which connect to different pathways. Looking closer at details into passages that can take form of the shared space, the hidden space, and the invisible boundary. How do certain paths affect the way we act? Do certain materials and colour set certain limits in the way people approach the place?
